Hours: 30 or 37.5 hours per week (to include unsociable hours on occasions as required)
Salary: £26,775 per annum (FTE)
Location: Office based (Blackbushe Airport, Camberley, GU17 9LQ)
Position Overview
We are looking for a strong team player who can confidently manage the core administrative functions of fundraising, including the management of the donor database and stewardship of our supporters. This role also involves overseeing fundraising projects such as regular raffles and lotteries, assisting with fundraising events, managing the thank-you process, and ensuring donor retention. Events include the delivery of the Aviators Ball, with a particular focus on the Auction components of the event.
This is a Senior Team Support role, specifically assisting the Chief Executive with project delivery and activities as required.
Key Responsibilities
Work with the Chief Executive Officer to support the planning, implementation, promotion, and administration of fundraising appeals.
Coordinate fundraising and communications meetings, take minutes, and ensure actions are followed up.
Support Aerobility’s presence from the back office and, at times, in person at events in our calendar, including airshows, fundraising dinners, etc.
Maintain the supporter database, ensuring supporters’ details are accurately updated (including mailing preferences, in accordance with GDPR).
Act as the first point of contact for any fundraising and communications queries and opportunities, responding to fundraising queries via email, telephone, and post.
Coordinate qualitative and quantitative feedback from our users (mechanisms already in place) for the team to use for reporting and continuous improvement.
Manage fundraising projects such as raffles and lotteries.
Organize and manage the silent auction for the Aerobility Aviators Ball, including soliciting donations, creating auction packages, and overseeing the bidding process and winner fulfillment.
Administer routine supporter communications, liaising with volunteers and staff to ensure that supporters are acknowledged appropriately in thank-you letters, newsletters, magazines, and annual reports.
Undertake any other relevant, ad-hoc tasks to help maintain Aerobility’s operational objectives.
Knowledge and Skills
Able to express themselves well in writing, with a strong emphasis on spelling and grammar.
Able to communicate clearly, assertively, and sensitively, working with a wide range of people at all levels, both verbally and in writing.
Able to prioritise workload and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
Ability to work accurately and in a timely manner.
Decisive, with the ability to see tasks through to completion and take responsibility for their actions.
The ability to build and maintain relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
Strong IT skills and experience with MS Office products.
Organized, self-starter, outgoing, and effective.
Experienced database administrator, ideally with knowledge and experience of Salesforce.
